1. The member of the Infant Jesus Ward are celebrating their feast today, a get-together is arranged at Winny Lobo’s house at 12.00 Noon.
2. Today evening there will be ward wise singing and dance competitions at 4p.m at the Cultural Hall.
3. Meetings of Small Christian Community :
Meeting that was fixed today at Nithyadar ward is postponed to Friday 5.00p.m at Irene Martis’s House.
4. Last Friday 33 Children took part in Parish programe at the Deanery level get-together of Jubilee of Mercy. We thank their parents for the co-operation.
5. Programmes of this Week:
House Blessing:
Sacred Heart Ward - on Monday; St. Antony Ward – on Tuesday; Infant Jesus Ward - on Wednesday; Fatima Ward – on Thursday and St Francis Xavier Ward on Friday. Blessings start at 5.00p.m
-Next Friday’s Adoration and Sunday’s Liturgy will be animated by the members of St Peter Ward.
-On Thursday 21st is the Annual day of our LKG at 10.00am. All are welcome.
6. Other Matters:
-Today Bendur Parish celebrates its Parish Feast.
-The Portuguese landed at Bengare and built a Chapel in honour of Our Lady of Holy Rosary on January 20th ,1569. On 20th of this week we are completing 447 years and we step into 448th year.
-The house blessing of St Peter ward will be on Thursday 28th January. Earlier it was fixed on 25th. Kindly note the change.
-The Choir members have arranged their picnic on January 26th. . The members are requested to give their names to Asst Parish Priest or Mr Antony D’Silva by Wednesday 20th Jan.
-On February 07th, Sunday is our Parish Day. There will be only one Mass celebrated by the Bishop at 8.00am. After Mass breakfast will be served followed by lucky games, Prize distribution and lunch at 12.30p.m. For the expenses of the Parish Day all are requested to contribute or sponsor food items generously.
