Nympha Sadan - A Home for the Senior Citizens

Background of the Institute:  ‘ Nympha Sadan’ the Home for the Senior Citizens, is another means of service taken up by the  Ursuline Franciscan Sisters in answer to the needs of the times.  It started functioning on 1st July 2007 with just six residents and now it is full with required number.    It is situated  in the heart of Mangalore City, behind Rosario Cathedral Church,  Bolar, Mangalore.

This Home is founded in honour of Mother Nympha Fernandes, the first Superior  of the Company, a great innovator, a visionary,  who in her life time offered compassionate help  and companionship to those were in need.  With deep gratitude  to God and as a fitting homage to Mother Nympha, the Ursuline Franciscan sisters built a Home for the Aged, which is called  a Home for Senior Citizens.

The Goal:  to bring  wholeness into the lives of the Elderly who would like to spend the latter period of their life in a peaceful and loving atmosphere.

Objectives: To offer Christ’s  comforting presence, healing touch, peacefulness and loving care to the Elderly.
