Rosario Unit of Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh ® Celebrated its Silver Jubilee on February 16, 2025 at the Rosario Cathedral .

The day began with a Thanksgiving Euchasristic Celebration at 8 am led by Fr. StanyTauro, Founder of Rosario Unit, accompanied by Fr. John Vas and
Rev. Fr. Alfred Pinto.In the evening the formal programs commenced with a welcome dance by parish children and a prayer song by Rosario Unit Office bearers.

The guests on the dais included Rev. FrStanyTauro, Rev.Fr. Alfred Pinto, Mr. Philip J Pereira, Rev Fr. John Vas, Mr Walter Nandalike, Mr. Anil Lobo,
Mr. Alwin D Souza, Mrs. Ida Furtado, Mr. Abdul Lateef, Mr. Hilary Lobo, Mr. William D Souza, Mrs. Jane Rosario and convener Mrs. Shahila D Almedia.

In his welcome address, Mr. Philip J Pereira said that 300 members of Rosario Unit work together to resemble as roots and fruits of a strong tree. All the guests on the dais were felicitated with a bouquet and memento.

Following three achievers of the society have been honoured for their achievements in Music, Sports and Education.
Miss Rishel Melba Crasta (Singer)
Miss Rishel Monteiro (wrestling/weight lifting)
Miss Dafney M D Souza (Education)

Under the service activity Rs. 50000 contributed to a non catholic family to complete their house and Rs.10000 contribution given to Kulur Unit of Catholic Sabha for their home for homeless project and also Rs.25000 contribution given to Fr.Cyprian Cohelo Education fund.

A picturesque PPT presentation was highlight of the celebration, 25 years of history painstakingly knitted by our new member Mr. Vishal Lobo, prepared in coordination with our Secretary Mr. William DSouza and Team. Presidents and Secretaries were felicitated for their relentless service for the past 25 years and also services of all the office bearers were remembered.

Inducting 28 young members to Rosario Unit of Catholic Sabha as presented by our Yuva Hita Sanchalaki Miss Dafny DSouza, Mr. Walter Nandalik, Founder of Daijiworld, in his inspiring and strong message emphasizing the importance of serving the needy and encouraged the youth to engage in social services. He advised parents to communicate and listen to their childrens grievances and voices. He also appreciated young childrens courage to come forward to serve the society under the banner of Catholic Sabha and complimented the Rosario Unit members for their efforts to bring them together.

The Chief guest Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro voiced his happiness to be a part of this silver jubilee celebration what he sow 25 years ago with just 27 members. Commenting on the induction of 28 new members to the unit, he said the young generation should take over the mettle and make sure that the services by this Unit should reach the society at large. He was honored with a shawl, a memento, a bouquet and a statue of Mother Rosary.

In his inaugural speech Rev.Fr.Alfred Pinto stressed the need to help the marginalized and praised Rosario Unit for being one of the most energetic wing in our Parish.
Rev.Fr. John Vas emphasized the importance of supporting one another to overcome challenges. Mr. Anil Lobo, chairman of MCC bank, giving his own example, said not to be afraid if you are honest and trust in God and no one can harm you. Mr. Abdul Lateef, Council Member, MCC Corporation, Port Ward, appreciated the need based services rendered by the catholic Sabha and assured his full support in the future. Vote of thanks by Mr. William D Souza followed by a jubilee song by our Choir Master Mr. Antony D Silva (ex-President) and dance performance by our team of office bearers and a short drama KURDO MOG written and directed by Mr. Steven Fernandas, Ruzai with artists of Udenti Kalakar, Ruzai.

This celebration was a total success with the full support of Parish Priest Fr. Alfred Pinto, Asst. Parish Priest Vinod Lobo, Fr. Valerian Frank, Mr. Lancy Crasta,Treasurer Mrs Rita DSouza, Mrs. Doreen D Souza, Mrs. Mable D Souza, Mr Salvador DSouza, Mrs Tressy DSouza, Mr.Ivan Pinto, Mr.Sebastian Noronha, Mrs Precialla Noronha, Mrs. Marceline Pereira, Mr.Vincent Dsouza, Mr.Donald Furtado, Mr Ashwin D Almeida, Mr. Alwyn Ferrao, Mrs Shoby, Mr Oscar Sequeira, Mrs.Shanti DSouza, Mr. Vinay Serrao, Master Dilon Furtado, Ms. Adlene Alvares, Ms. Sherin Rosario, MrAlister D Almeida & Mr. Marcel and all other members of Catholic Sabha. Mr. AlwynTauro compared the program. The program ended with a sumptuous dinner.
