2. Never give your ATM and mobile pin to anyone. No matter how close they are to you. If ever you lose your ATM card immediately inform your bank manager or bank customer care. And be careful not to reveal the OTP that you receive on your phone.
3. Please lock your mobile and computer/Laptop with a strong password. And never share this with anyone. Try to change the passwords often.
4. Install antivirus software on your desktop computer, laptop, tab and mobile phone. Sometimes due to a virus attack, there are high chances that you might lose our important data. Hence it is very important to have an antivirus installed.
5. Scam messages like “You have won a cash prize”, “You have won a gift” and “Money is credited into your account”, please ignore them. There are high chances that you will either lose your money or you may even be looted by the fraudsters.
6. Be careful about the mobile apps that you use. They might be collecting your data, location and other sensitive details. These apps help the thieves to locate where you are and might cause a lot of harm to you.
7. Cyber Crime - Golden Hour. Data shows police have been able to recover 90% of cash lost in cybercrimes when the complaint is made within the Golden Hour i.e. within a few hours of the fraud happening.
8. Be careful when you are posting /updating your photos and personal details on social media like Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Your photos might be misused and it will be easy for fraudsters to scam you after knowing your personal details.
9. Online Games - make sure you are monitoring your children while they are browsing or playing online games on your mobile. Most online games are highly addictive for kids and they might put your kids into depression or force your kids to pay money using your card details or digital accounts stored on your mobile. And there is a high chance that you might lose a huge sum of money.
10. Never chat or entertain any strangers online, especially on social media apps. These strangers can even blackmail you and loot you for all that you have.
11. Parental control in the Google Play Store. If you share your Android phone or tablet with others, including children, you can turn on parental controls in settings to block downloads or purchases of content based on the content maturity level.
12. Porn sites are easily accessible for kids these days. Keep a watch on your mobile phones. You can check your mobile, tab, laptop or computer by checking browser history in settings.
13. Duplicate/Fake accounts using our name, personal details, and photos will be created by the fraudsters and they ask for money from your friends. And your friends can be cheated. Keep most of your social media accounts like Facebook, Instagram etc either locked or make it private.
14. Use a wireless indoor home security camera to monitor your kids when they are left alone at home and also install CCTV in your house to secure yourself.
15. Log out of all email accounts when you use computers in public places or after logging them into other people's computer or mobile. Never charge your mobile, tab or laptop at any public charging booth using their charger or data cable.

18. QR code scam- Online scammers send a QR code and ask people to scan it in order to receive money for some scheme they are running. However, once you scan the QR code, instead of the amount being credited, it will get deducted from your bank account. It’s pretty easy for scammers to make a fake QR code online for free. “Since QR codes just look like a bunch of lines and blobs to most of us, it's really difficult to spot a fake QR code,” So be very careful.
19. Dating Websites- Romance scammers create fake profiles on dating sites and apps, or contact their targets through popular social media sites like Instagram, Facebook, Whatsapp or Twitter. The scammers strike up a relationship with their targets to build their trust, sometimes talking or chatting several times a day. Then, they make up a story and ask for money. Some also will blackmail by using the private pictures sent to them by their targets.
20. Camera Hackers- Webcams and phone cameras can be hacked easily giving bad actors complete control over how they function. As a result, hackers can use a device's camera to spy on individuals and search for personal information and misuse it.
