February 07, 2016 is indeed a beautiful day in the history of Rosario Cathedral as we celebrate our togetherness. The day began with a meaningful Eucharistic celebration conferred by Most Rev. After the mass, breakfast was served for all. Everyone took active part in the spot games. It was a fitting occasion to explore our talents. All the senior citizens were actively involved in all activities with love and enthusiasm.
Thereafter, there was a colourful cultural programme by the winners of parish day singing and dance competitions and jokes added joy and thrilled the hearts of everyone.
After the programme the stage of day beautified by the presence of all the dignitaries, V. Rev. Fr J.B. Crasta, Vicar,Prisided over the Programme, Mr Sachin Lawrence, chief guest of the programme, Fr Paul S. D’Souza, Fr Vincent D’Souza, Fr Rocky Fernandes, Mr Dolphy D’Souza, Vice President, Mr John D’Silva, Secretary and Mr Alwyn Tauro, Convenor were on the dais, who also shared their experiences and enriched us with their short and effective messages.
The centre of attraction of the programme was “housie housie”. Everyone young and old were energetic, zealous and enthusiastic to partake in this event to back the prizes.
Finally the day was spent meaningfully and happily in the presence of one another. Everyone was impressed by the beautiful arrangements done by the Committee members and had one word to say i.e. “the day was fabulous”.
Mr Alwyn Tauro was the convenor of the entire programme and Mrs Gladys Pereira was the food committee incharge. Mr Aloysius Rosario and Mrs Reshma Rodrigues were the masters of the ceremony.
Then the entire day’s activities came to an end at 1:15 p.m. with a sumptuous meal prepared by the parishioners. Everyone felt the unity and togetherness by preparing and having tasted the meal together.
